Precision lifts from the Port Arthur Historic Site out to Isle of the Dead.

Port Arthur Historic Site conducted a  project improving the access amenities on the Isle of the Dead, a small cemetery island just 1km offshore from the site.  The final resting place for over 1000 convicts, soldiers and officials, the Isle is now regularly visited as part of the visitor experience at Port Arthur.

Due to the heavy, awkward nature of loads, one of our AS350 helicopters was used to precision place building materials and equipment using a 150 foot longline. Extra care was especially required on placement due to the fragility of historic headstones and restricted working environment for ground crew.
