Three Capes Track Stage Three
Following the success of the Three Capes Track stage 2, Parks and Wildlife Tasmania set out to further upgrade the walking tracks of Shipstern Bluff and Cape Raoul to the same high standard and give the Tasman Peninsula two more quality day walking experiences.
Osborne Aviation was selected to provide the majority of helicopter lifting services for this project, delivering 800kg bags of gravel from a remote depot on the Tasman Peninsula. A wide variety of terrain – from open plains next to high cliffs to dense, tall eucalypt forests – presented a challenging flying environment.
The walking tracks are now open to the public and are enjoyed by countless visitors and locals alike on a daily basis.
