Three Capes Lodge Walk
AJR Construct were engaged by Tas Walking Company to build two incredible lodges in the Tasman National Park in Tasmania’s South East. These lodges, designed by Andrew Burns Architects, form the accommodation for walkers who take part in the Three Capes Lodge Walk experience – a journey that involves 4 days of walking and 3 nights in catered accommodation.
From initial ground work through to final fit out – the construction of these buildings required all materials and personnel to be transported by helicopter. From loads of wet concrete through to fragile glass panes, the remote location of the sites and challenging environment called for highly experienced pilots and ground crew. The project spanned over a 12-month period and is now welcoming in walkers every night.
